Beware of Holiday DUI Checkpoints in Utah
Millions of travelers are hitting the roads as the holidays approach. As part of the Utah Highway Safety Office "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign, law enforcement is cracking down on drunk and intoxicated driving. Law enforcement agencies are required to disclose the location of sobriety roadblocks before the event, so check the news or visit websites dedicated to DUI roadblock announcements in order to avoid being stopped.
Important Utah DUI Roadblock Tips
- You are not required to proceed towards a DUI checkpoint if you can legally maneuver away from the Utah sobriety roadblock.
- Medical marijuana prescriptions issued from other states are not legally recognized by the State of Utah. As soon as you cross the Utah State boarder, you can be charged with a DUI if you drive while under the influence of Marijuana.
